iRemember FAQ
Q: Photos printed from iPhoto look great, yet when I print from iRemember the same photo looks second rate. How do I fix this?
A: Use the “Page Setup” and “Print” dialogs to configure your printer to print photos.
Printer driver manufacturers provide Apple with printer settings used by iPhoto to print great photos automatically. When using iRemember, you need to manually configure your printer settings to achieve the same results.
- Open your iRemember scrapbook file.
- Select Page Setup from the File menu.
- Set the Format For: popup menu to your printer. (Note: the default is "Any Printer" — which is NOT what you want.)
Example:

- If your printer supports borderless printing, set the Paper Size: popup menu to an appropriate size, for example: "Borderless photo 8.5x11 in."
NOTE: this screen shot is for an HP printer, your printer dialog may present paper size options differently. Consult the documentation for your printer if necessary.

- Click the “OK” button in the Page Setup dialog.
- Select Print from the File menu.
- If using Mac OS X v 10.5 or later, click the button next Printer popup menu.
- Specify the “Paper Type” (photo paper vs plain paper) - sometimes referred to as “media type”.
Your printer may do this step in a completely different manner, consult your printer documentation as needed.
For our example HP printer, we:
a) Select “Paper Type/Quality” - from the third popup menu.
b) Select the photo paper we are using from the “Paper Type” popup menu.
- Specify the “Quality” - sometimes referred to as “resolution”.
Your printer may do this step in a completely different manner, consult your printer documentation as needed.
